As I sat lookin at some magazines today, I had this great idea. Let's draw!! lol No animatin today. lol Here's some sketches I drew from those mags. It's been awhile.....talk about feeling rusty. ;OP Hopefully I will stop feeling so sick. Maybe it's just age....35 tomorrow! Jump test...

Here's a jump test I did....not for school since I already finished....lol :OP Been really sick lately so haven't done much animating. :O( Plus have to work as much as possible to pay off my school loan. 3 Weeks left!!!!!!

I find myself without a lot of time. It's crunch time at school and find myself wondering if I'm gonna get a job in the near future. So much to do. Today I took the kids to their 2nd karate class. To see them trying so hard made me proud. That's probably why they inspire me sooo much. Anyways, here's the pics I took. I couldn't take them at class 'cause I forgot my camera! lol Oh well, there's always next week! :OP So I think I have all the inspiration to make my last push at school a great one. I will look at these pics (last post too!) until school is done. Hopefully I can figure out how to post some of my short(if not all) soon. Inspiration

I'm nearing the end of school and to tell you the truth, it's way harder than I ever imagined. Soon I get to worry about getting a job and paying back my student loan....no stress. lol I'm posting this pic to pick my spirits up. Here's my last 3rd of my short blocked out. Not too happy with it.....at least I know I have 2 more weeks to work on it. I was gonna put up the whole story blocked out, but for some reason when I upload it, it plays really fast. Makes no sense to me and I have no time to mess with it. lol I need to get some drawing time in...I'm missin it. lol I also sent some inquiries out to some game studios.....no response. :O( Guess I just gotta keep bustin my butt and hopefully someday I'll get my foot in. Oh, when he tosses the ball in the air the timing is off.. phhhbbbttt! At least I caught it! lol Anyways, till next post....PEACE!!!

Mekhi Leroy Milton...

Man.......at a loss for words. I did light my candles....also realized that I don't own very many. I also put a small glass, with the rose from Mekhi's funeral, in front of the candles. My nephew.... Anyways, I burned the candles for a little over an hour to show my support for not only my inspiring brother but for all the others out there. I know it never goes away. And Mel, I'm sure Mehki is up there extremely proud of you. Love you bro!

I'm feelin like I'm not ready to animate a short so am trying to practice as much as possible. I did some other animations put they have some serious cussing it them...lol My friend Brandon Compito (of course he has no website) writes and sings songs so I took part of 1 of his songs and animated it with some cheesiness...lol Hope u like it!! Oh...I also messed around with lighting and rendering. Class 5 started ...woo-hoo!!! Will post about my mentor next time and on my other blog. Had the 1st Q&A and I gotta say, this is my funnest class yet! Everyone is soooo funny! Anyways, till next post....PEACE!!!

Here's what I turned in this week. Still got a lot of refining to do. My e-critique was good and very insightful. I need to add more detail and do a ton of clean up next week so I can block in the lip sync. Time is just flying! I have 3 weeks left on this assignment and then hopefully go on to the next class. Where'd my week go? School starts up again soon.... can't wait!! I tried to get some sketchin in but am not feelin like myself. Who knows? Anyways, I went to see 1408.....pretty crazy movie. I still want to see "Ratatouille" and "Transformers" Hopefully I can scrape up some money. Things are tight and I gotta say, my 1st instinct is to drop out of school and do what it takes to get out of this hole. I've been here before and have told myself many of times that it I won't let it happen again. This time is different...I have kids. My brain is so scattered....so many worries....so much to learn. :O( Well, here's some sketches. My hands are so shaky lately. Just rust I guess. pheww!!! Made it thru class 3

Man A.M. is rough but I'm hangin so far. I have a week off so am hopin to get some good ol fashion drawing in. Class 4 here I come!! Woo-Hoo!! Half way there...man it feels really good to be accomplishing something in the animation direction. I would've never thought I would be doin it....especially with a computer! lol :OP Anyways, here's the clean up on the last assignment..still some things to fix but for now I'm leaving it alone. Startin to feel old....

Title says it all. Wish I had started drawing and animating a little bit earlier. Sometimes I don't know which is worse...the financial battle or the mental battle. Tough choice. I sometimes get that feeling that I could solve the financial woes by simply putting the animating on pause. I know that is a bad idea.....that's how I end up not finishing something. The mental side is tricky...just when I think I'm getting it...something new wreaks havoc on my now fragile mind. I guess the mental side has the edge cause it's also involved in the financial side. No wonder animators are a couple sandwiches short of a picnic. :OP Anyways, class 3 is comin to and end and I'm hopin I passed....guess I'll find out by Tues. Here's the last assignment we did....not happy with it. The clean up process was enough to render my mind mush. Oh well. :OP Thanks for lookin.....till nbext post....PEACE!!!

I got some sketchin in!! Woo-hoo! I gotta say it helped relieve the tension of the ongoing struggle with Maya. School is still kickin my butt......even more so now. Darn splines!!!! It's been awhile since I've drawn anything. :O( Just so busy lately. Here's the laminate flooring I was installing.....it's almost done now and looks really nice. From Monday to 3:00 am this morning we were in Taccoa Georgia. It was so beautiful! I'm gonna post pics on my other blog (http://growing-up-milton.blogspot.com/) later. We went to Taccoa Falls and to the Georgia Aquarium. Awesome stuff!
