I need to keep at it.

Makin an effort to keep animating......it's been a lil over 3 years since I finished AM. wow! time flies!! Anyways, here's something I did today. Got a job interview tomorrow.....no. Not a studio. But a job. lol Wish it was a studio but I think that will take some time. Anyways, thanks for lookin.... till next post......PEACE!!!

Not so good at other aspects of 3d....lol

Ok, here's the rig I was working on. Not fully rigged but did a quick animation with it anyways. The hands and the face are not done......will probably get back to animatin and forget about this for a while! lol Anyways, here it is. It's pretty bad but I'm gonna post anywho. ;O) Hope to get crankin on a new reel...we'll see how hectic life becomes. Till next post......PEACE!!

To new beginnings......

Wow! It's been a long time!! lol Well, we're in Utah now! Craziness!! I would've posted something earlier but have been tryin to find a job. Was hoping to have an animation job but as I learned, not everything works out and I should just be happy other things have. My family is happier than ever, and for that I am sooo thankful. I did a test last week but I ended up just giving up. Why? It involved rigging which I ended up failing miserably (the painting weights part). I did learn a lot though. To prove it, I finished rigging my model and moving on to the really hard part (1 of many)....painting weights! lol I'm pretty crazy!! lol ;O) Hopefully I will get to animate him soon!! ;O) ANyways, thanks for looking and I hope to post my progress soon! Tryin to find balance.....

For my B-day I got an electronic drum kit. It's perfect for getting my frustrations out and getting my mind off of things. Believe me there are a lot of things on my mind. lol I'm not the greatest drummer but just like animating....the more I do it the better I will get. I have also been tryin to teach Malcolm what I know about drums. I will post a vid of his progress soon. Wish I could get him into animating but I tried and he didn't seem to take to it like the drums. Anyways, here's a vid I recorded earlier.....I found a accapello version of "Umbrella" and here's me attempting to play along. Thanks for looking and will try to have some animations up soon! Picking myself back up......

The last rejection letter really did a number on my confidence. Rejection letters are nice cause at least I know someone is looking at my work. Been gettin a lot of good reviews.....just no jobs. :O( But after 3 years and a ton of rejection letters, I find myself thinking that maybe I'm crazy and need to stop. The other day I opened maya ( the 1st time in weeks!) just to see how I feel about it. I found myself animating again. The feeling of having no hope disappeared and I found myself with a renewed passion. I can and will make it.....I just need to keep moving forward. ;O) Anyways, no more rambling on, here's my next shot....thanks for looking and will try to post my progress. Been awhile.....

Man! It's been a long time since I have posted something! lol I'd love to say that I'm still animating but that would be a lie. I am back at my old job and working a lot......not much time for that. Hopefully I can find some balance and get back to it. Anyways, here's the last project I have worked on. My buddy Ray Kasel and me did all the animating. Rendering and lighting, etc were done by other people. I'm not happy with my work but am glad to have had the experience. I guess with each project I do, I get better....hoping to get more work soon. Animator looking for work....again.. ;O)

It's been a long time....I know....I'm a slacker! I haven't been feeling that motivated lately but now I am slowly coming out of this rut. I need to keep going if I'm ever to reach the "pretty good animator" status I'm workin so hard for. Gotta keep practicin and gettin better....then the job will fall in place. Animator looking for work.......

Since the my freelance job ended I've decided to get back to the last shot I was working on before I started the job. Things are tough and sometimes I think I should just throw the towel in. Someday all this will pay off. ;O) Went back to the short I am working on....looks like it will be a long time before that is done. lol Will post some character designs when I get a chance. Anyways, for now here is the shot I've been working on.....still needs another strong pass and the 2nd half needs like 3 more....lol I'm getting happier with each pass and hope to have another reel soon.......seriously. ;O) Anyways, thanks for looking !! Freelance animator for hire......

Always on the hunt for work.....never give up...never surrender!! lol I had to post.....still tryin not to be a slacker! Decided to post some pics of my kids. Lucky Charms II (Malcolm).......my son is playin basketball now. I'm hoping he'll be better than I was (I was pretty good , in case you were wondering!!). He can shoot.....just need to build his confidence up. Then there's Morgan.....I'm gonna have to get a lot of weapons for when she gets older!! lol The last pic is a screenshot of my progress. I decided to untie my hands some by teaching myself to model. This is my 1st model....it's pretty bad, but I know the more I do it the better I'll get. Next will be rigging. Then I plan on working on a short film. All I need now is some time! lol Right now I'm doing 2 freelance jobs and working a 3rd gig at a gas station. GLAMOROUS!!! lol I figure I will work on my short when I'm in between freelance gigs. I should probably start doing some concept art and getting my story together. So much to do so little time. I didn't do much to this....it still has a long way to go. Not much time to work on this, cause I have an animation side job. It's nice to be workin as an animator again....even if it is a small gig. Better than nothing. ;O) Will go into that when I get something to post from that project, which should be soon.
