tutorials from my bro...

My brother sent me almost all the tutorials in the world last night. Holy cow he sent a lot!! Thanks bro!!! You da man! It was quite overwhelming. So much to learn. Anyways, looked at some of 'em. I decided to do some of the anime faces but then decided to do the arm studies. Then I got frustrated and just sketched the last pic. Man....I gotta love it if I get that frustrated and keep going! heehee Oh well, hopefully tonight will go better. Maybe I 'll just read the tutorials and not pick up the mighty pencil. We'll see. Computer problems again!!

I would've posted this morning but our network was down since last night! Arrghghhhh!!! Anyways, here's Katie waiting for me to get done so we could play. She's so playful! arrrggghhh!! again!

Hee hee! Here's a sketch I did. Chewy looks funny! heehee Oh well. I got pretty frustrated sketchin so I took another one of my brother's sketches and colored it. I'm glad he sketches a lot! heehee:O) Hope it don't bother you bro!! If it does just threaten my life like the good 'ol days. heehee Anywho, I'll try to get some done tonight...maybe. We'll see. I'm tryin.....

Hope this doesn't bother my bro! I colored in one of his sketches. I think I learned a lot from it. His line work is so strong....unlike mine. I know practice.....practice...and more practice. Coloring this took me all of about 8 minutes. I think I figured out how to be a lot faster. I guess I'll find out with the next pic I color!:O)
I'm still getting soooo frustated! I drew the first pic from my Batman toy, then realized that it's hard to draw something that's still in the box. oops! So then I started drawing without looking at anything and came up with the 2nd pic. After that I colored it in PS. I'm not happy with the job I did, but....I am happy that I didn't use a reference or copy something. Hey....progress is progress and I'm so happy I'm getting somewhere....no matter how small the steps. Anyways, I might not post tomorrow.....or the weekend...depends on the wife. heehee Anywho....till next post...PEACE!!!

I didn't do much work tonight but did manage to mess around in PS. I messed around with texture and blurring a little bit. So much to learn......so much I don't know....sooo frustrating!! heehee:O) Anywho, will try to do some work tomorrow....till then ....PEACE!!!!

last night's stuff.....

Here's my first toy....thanks Mel. :O) Did some coloring last night. Not too happy with it but I know I gotta learn to not be intimidated. I did some painting on my sculpture. Had a lot of fun with it. Man.......I never knew painting was sooo friggin hard! Props to all that paint! Anywho....till next post....PEACE!!!

been awhile...

Sorry, been busy and frustrated! Couldn't upload for awhile. Here's what I did the past couple of days. Of course not including the tons of crumpled up work! Trying to draw my own stuff and just can't seem to be happy with it. Maybe I'm just stressed out with all the changes in my life style. Who knows? I'll just keep pluggin away and hopefully I won't get so frustrated with myself. Anywho....til next post........PEACE!!!

Finally it works so I can pot multiple pics!! Woo-hoo!! Here's what I did last night. My wife did the last 2. I think I got her hooked on drawing too!! heehee Anyways, taking a break tonight...as you can see by the last couple of pics, I now am a dog owner. Her name is Katie and she is a beagle hound. She's 8 weeks old, very playful, and such a cutie!! Anywho....till next post...PEACE!!

Okay...here's what I colored today. It took about 15 minutes to do the line art and about 35 minutes to color. I used the mouse pad on my lap top cause my aiptek pad is acting up. Boy....I'm having some luck!!

I sat down yesterday and tried to do some character designs. I had such a mental block! Sooo frustrated! I'm gonna try again today. We'll see how it goes. Anywho, till I post again.....PEACE!!!!!

problems last night....

I would've posted yesterday for but some reason I couldn't connect to the internet. Then we had a barbecue....mmmmm. Twas good. After that we played scrabble for about 5 hours. heehee I got side tracked. Well here's what I did during the afternoon yesterday. I messed up on the Joker alot........damn hands! heehee I also put some color pencil on the last one. Anywho, till next post....PEACE!!

I didn't do much last night. I was taking a little break, even though it was hard to do. Went to see Doogal....it was ok. Animation was kinda shakey. Oh well.....at least Ice Age 2 comes out soon....woo-hoo! Anyways, got some drawing to do.....hopefully I will be able to get a lot done today. Till next post....PEACE!!!!

Sculpey 2 Mel Blog....

Here he is cooked. He's wet 'cause I sanded him a little bit to try to get him to have a cleaner look. Then I put some water on him to get the sand dust off. I still have a lot of sanding to do. heehee My wife says he looks like my bro Mel. heehee Hence his name. I tried to get some close ups so you could see the resemblance to my bro's character of himself. Maybe some paint will make the detail stand out more. I guess we'll find out. Till later.....PEACE!!!
